Information Flow

In today's highly competitive marketplace, product life cycles can be very short.  Design to market cycle times must be kept short to keep pace.  Electronic transfer of data and information is essential between Design Engineering, CAD,InfoF4c.jpg (129795 bytes) Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering and Manufacturing.  Equipment such as pick and place machines, insertion machines and in-circuit test equipment can be efficiently programmed using CAD data.  Off-line programs can extract from and manipulate CAD data to generate product programs, detailed work instructions and documentation for all workstations on the manufacturing floor in a matter of minutes.  AMT's ProMod Implementation Program includes the establishment of collaborative processes required to seamlessly integrate the information flow from engineering to the manufacturing floor to the extended enterprise.

Manufacturing floor networks are commonplace and essential today.  Almost all manufacturing equipment made today operates on or is controlled by a computer.  Manufacturing networks allow for efficient downloading/uploading of programs, real time process monitoring, data collection and dissemination of process and schedule information.  All of AMT's ProMod systems are configured to operate in a e-manufacturing/ business collaborative environment.

Integration

Today's high sensitivity to customers' needs has led to increased levels of product customization.   At the same time, customers are demanding lower cost, higher quality and shorter delivery times.  To meet these needs, companies are rapidly moving into an e-manufacturing/business collaborative environment.  Using standard software and technology, it is possible to integrate the entire demand,InfoF2c.jpg (80801 bytes) manufacturing and supply chain.  This  integration is required to obtain the desired design to marketplace cycle times and/or product customization required in a competitive environment.  It should be noted that total integration cannot be achieved until collaborative engineering and manufacturing process integration is achieved.  AMT works with your personnel to achieve this collaborative process integration.
